Happy New Year!!!
Here's hoping and praying that the new year finds you all enjoying life in all of its myriad of manifestations. Live large, eat well, play hard, stay healthy and above all be happy and through it all be good to each other.
As I write this on the West coast I am aware that the new year has already come and gone for the entire rest of the world and yet for me, for us it is still more than two hours away. I have often marveled at the odd feeling that I have knowing that I am always somehow behind the rest of the world. But I never let it get me down. I prefer to think that we simply sleep in longer.
My plans for 2013 are simple, I want to actually get published. I dont want to accept another 'vanity publishing' where I have to pay them to print my book and although I love the freedom of having my own Publishing company and the freedom that it brings I still want the satisfaction that comes with another company thinking that my work, my writing is worth their time and money to present to the world with their name on it. With that in mind I will be making many refinements to work that I have already written and I will be writing lots of introduction letters. So wish me luck.
On the lighter side, I managed to finally finish Cali's 6th adventure. Her latest adventure, tracking down a serial child killer was a longer and more difficult case for her and a more difficult book for me to write. I'm learning how to keep my character and her friends tracking. I have said befofre that I hate it when authors mess up their own work by having inconsistancies in their story or in their characters. I am trying very hard not to do that but I can see how easily it can happen. Anyway I got her through and I know exactly where she's going from here. Cali is not just a Detective, she is a Veteran of the Silent War and she has some trauma's and some Demons to yet address and probably always will but her next adventure will take her on a more personal journey. Never fear she will still encounter enough danger and fun along the way too keep her life interesting.
I did just want to say Happy New Year! I hope you all have plans for your life in the new year. But on this night, just have fun!!
Be good to each other.
