What an Author writes may not be what you read.

Well our family finally had Christmas this past weekend. It was wonderful! We sat around ate Port of Sub sandwiches and talked crap about each other.
I previewed "The Demon Cleanser" to them all and of course they all liked the name and thought that it sounded more exciting than "Veteran of the Silent War". I suppose you would have to read them both to make a determination on that count. I personally think that Veteran is a more powerful story and that Demon simply begins a new chapter in my hero's life but I wrote them so I would think that.
Interesting, remember when I told you about going out for dinner on Christmas Eve and meeting new people? One of those people said something to me that I just remembered. He said that authors sometimes write one thing and they think that they know what it is that they wrote, but when someone else reads it they read it from a completely different perspective. This new perspective more often than not sees something other than what the author thought that they were writing.
I think that this is what makes 'readers reviews' so important not only to other readers but to the author as well. An author will always pour their own souls onto the paper and their own prejudices, likes, dislikes and general thoughts will seep into the story. The trick is to use all of those things inside the story and not to let them overwhelm or distort the story.
In light of the two afformentioned books I tried very hard to keep my dislike and anger towards abusers out of Veteran. I instead focussed upon my belief in hope and the indominatable human spirit. In Demon I tried to just keep it simple. I wanted to gradually work into the vision that I have for Cali (my heroin). So Demon is a simple story. It goes from point A to point B with only a few detours along the way. It was a great challenge for me to stick to the basics with it. As time goes on and more of this story come out in new books they will, I hope become more complicated.
But my thought on this whole thing is this; are my readers catching what I'm throwing or have I diluted my thoughts so much trying not to influence too much that I have washed out the color? I suppose I will find out soon as one of my nieces is going to write a review for each of them. Hopefully she will say more than she did in the text that she sent to me. I will put them here when she gets them done.
Talk to you soon, be good to each other.

I'm glad you enjoy my blog. I try to write every day, it turns into 5 times a week, but that's still a lot. Thanks for reading.

There may be noticeably a bundle to know about this. I assume you made certain good points in options also.

At this time it sounds like Drupal is the top blogging platform out there right now. (from what I've read) Is that what you're using on your blog?

Howdy would you mind stating which blog platform you're using? I'm going to start my own blog soon but I'm having a difficult time selecting between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your layout seems different then most blogs and I'm looking for something unique. P.S Apologies for being off-topic but I had to ask!
